OK… I have to say that I don’t want to confirm or deny anything yet about our meeting with Redner’s Warehouse Markets. Suffice to say, I’m VERY optimistic, and keeping my fingers crossed. We had a productive meeting with Mr. Stiles, Director of Produce for the chain. With any luck, he’ll be contacting me within the next week with their first order. IF we are to get it, it would be a significant one. The primary stores that most of you would “reach” would be the Ephrata, Palmyra, and Oxford locations – as Redner’s sold their Lancaster location to Giant a few years back.
Our salsa is in Darrenkamp’s now, in all three locations. Heidi Rankin, the Category Manager that we work with there is just FABULOUS. If you happen to see her, say THANKS for getting us in and approved! She was absolutely instrumental! The habanheiress and I have been in there twice since they picked us up, I often see people stopping and taking a good look at our salsa. This makes us feel good. With any luck they’ll sample our salsa this weekend, and we’ll move some product there. I just dropped off another 32 lbs for them. :-)
I have NOT been to the Mt. Joy or Elizabethtown locations – so if you’re in there before I am – PLEASE comment below as to where we are in relation to the deli, so your fellow salsa addicts can our Spicy, Veggie Goodness! We’d surely appreciate it!
We also met with Todd Hess, the deli manager at Musser’s Markets, in the Buck location. He seemed happy with our salsa, and we shot him an email and hope to hear back from him soon. If you’re ever in there, feel free to ask if we’re on the shelves there yet as well.
